They have experienced trauma that sometimes manifests in challenging behaviors that require extra love and support at a time when their biological parents are unable to provide it. These children need a resource parent with patience, someone who understands that a child’s wounds will not be fixed overnight, a parent who’s going to say, “I’m not going to give up on you.” Uplift Family Services specializes in helping these parents and children in foster care create more stable, loving homes.
