Tehama County is making it easier to recycle household hazardous waste (HHW), which contains hazardous materials that can contaminate or land and pose a risk to the waste workers that handle them. Of particular concern are 1 lb. propane gas cylinders, which are used in outdoor recreational areas for heating, cooking and lighting.
